Digital Media Company Adds Audience Engagement Tech, Secures Industry Veteran to Exec Team

New York, NY —(Marketwired- April 5, 2016) Digital media holding company CPXi has acquired New York-based Sweigh, Inc. whose digital opinion measurement technology is transforming how audiences interact with content. As part of the acquisition, Sweigh Co-Founder, Chris Monteleone has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Sales.

Chris Monteleone is a senior media industry executive with a career that spans Media, Sports and Entertainment.  His hands on experience includes major live events, film studios, TV networks, digital media, print media, radio media, sponsorship sales, media sales, major sports leagues (NHL, NBA), multi-channel distribution, wireless distribution, Cable ISP’s, consumer electronics and interactive television.  He has held senior executive positions at Cablevision, Comcast/NBC, Sony Television, AMC Networks, Madison Square Garden and iHeartMedia. Monteleone co-founded Sweigh in 2013.

Sweigh’s embeddable widget and supporting analytics engine allows publishers to understand audience sentiment in real-time by replacing article comments with 2-way polling technology. The process creates a trove of preference data which is valuable to publishers both as actionable intelligence and as information desired by advertisers.
